CRF Cat Retaining Fluids

My cat has been getting fluids twice a day all year until 2 weeks ago my vet had us increase it to 3 times per day because his kidney values have been going up. Since Friday morning I have noticed fluid bulges in his legs and he seems a little unsteady. My vet had us cut back to twice a day but he still has the bulges. Since this is Sunday and my vet is closed, can I wait until tomorrow morning or should I take him to the emergency hospital today? He ate well this morning and seems okay.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
