Pisces are spiritual in nature and emotional in expression with a highly evolved gift of intuition and imagination .These folks are selfless and very focused on their inner journey.

Pisces potential weakness: they are notorious for being absentminded, forgetful, doubtful, depressive, escapist, and unreliable.

Their symbol depicts two connected fish swimming in opposite directions and linked together by a band that keeps them connected throughout the cycles of life. One fish heading upward, the other pulling downward.
This dualism mirrors how Pisceans are frequently torn between two pathways in life, or actually do live two very different existences at the same time.

Pisceans are almost hopelessly romantic and are drawn to those of many different signs. Capricorns and Taureans anchor them. However they can fit in with almost any sign: chameleon-like they can be many things to many people.

The Moon Sign of Aries
1st Sign, Aries, The Head (Horoscope: 21 March to 19 April)

For an Aries born gardener:
Patience may not be an easy "virtue" to maintain, so if a project doesn't show results quickly, chances are good that it may not get finished: your gardening style is like your attitude in life: you want to do it once and move on. You like quick results, which makes you an impatient gardener.

Low-maintenance landscapes that include hardy perennials and native shrubs or trees are perfect. This way, your efforts in their first year will be rewarded far into the future.
Ruled by Mars, a fiery and impulsive Planet, and much of their symbolic plants are either potent in scent or bear thorns.

The Aries garden will have plants, perennial flowers, and trees with red berries, grains and if there is a vegetable garden, any vegetable that makes a head, like cabbage.
Visually speaking, a garden, or plants with shimmering hues, red, ideally, like the favourite colour of the sign, attract you irresistibly. Thistle, Tiger Lily, Peppermint and Geranium; Red bee balm, poppies, zinnias and celosia are particularly appealing. Holly bushes, geraniums, honeysuckle and maples also good choices for a Ram. Thorn-bearing trees like hawthorns can also light this sign’s fire, as can prickly plants like thistles, nettles, and cacti.

Herbs with distinctive fragrances as the one mentioned before but also mustard, rosemary, garlic, and hops are ideal for Aries. But the best choice remains chilli, easy to grow, aesthetic, and fit to fulfil your passionate nature.

The paths should be wide and straight, radiating dynamic energy. Pave with red brick or rough gravel, both of which embody the dynamic energy of this sign. Aries would love to have a big enough area (and money) for a generous space for lawn even big enough for games like ….... Ah, Aries!.

The Taurus gardener loves to feel the earth under their feet and will kick off their shoes whenever possible, having no problem getting hands dirty in planting and maintaining their gardens, they are careful, tenacious gardeners. You never tire of sensual pleasures related to gardening: scents, colours, shades and brightness.

Native or cottage gardens to radiate strength and calm abound with wild flowers and climbing vines, daisy flowerbed or of digitalis which combines charm and pink colours. Ideally, you want everything: lawn, wildflowers, majestic roses, knotty-trunk trees.

Your garden could even produce enough surplus to sell as a supplement your income. You have the legendary green thumb and can grow almost anything, Look into an edible landscape that is also visually pleasing but some especially good choices include multiple varieties of deeply rooted carrots, beets, potatoes and turnips with corn, wheat, columbine, myrtle, spinach, iris, daisies and forget-me-nots.

Flower day
Sign Gemini
Moon   First quarter

Biodynamic:
Moon in Gemini Air sign. Sow flower plants, where climate allows it.
Do not sow Root plants.

Synodic:
Where climate allows, sow  root vegetables, berries, bulbs, onions, biennials, and perennials.

The Moon Sign of Gemini
3rd Sign, Gemini, The Arms (Horoscope: 21 May to 21 June)

For a Gemini born gardener:
The Gemini gardener loves plants that are light and airy so dill, calendula, caraway and parsley are easy for them to grow also any type of ferns and coreopsis captivate them. The color yellow is particularly especial and yellow can be found all through the Gemini gardens.

As the sign of the twins, you love pairs of things. Consider planting pairs of different fruit trees as their changing state -- from flowers to buds to fruit -- will keep you interested throughout the season. In colder climates, pairs of stately evergreens, or seasonal driveway displays, are a good alternative.

Geminis are more “intelectual” and gardening is not really their “thing”. You're perpetually busy, so free time isn't just rare; it's priceless and absolutely must be spent on fascinating activities, therefore you choose fast-growing blossoms, and start with plants, not seeds. Plants that mimic your style, wild carrot and dandelion—whose airborne seeds swirl and twirl in the wind—bring joy and contentment. But, then you might want to just skip all the work and buy the flowers at your local outdoor market.

Ideally the garden belonging to Gemini should face east. The space will be filled with light and air, giving a feeling of spaciousness and infinite possibility, it also should include a comfortable wooden swing where this sign can indulge in flights of fancy.

The Moon Sign of Cancer
4th Sign, Cancer, The Breast (Horoscope: 22 June to 22 July)

For a Cancer born gardener:
In your case, the garden is an extension of your home. You need to take care of your piece of paradise. The Cancer garden is quiet and contemplative. You want flowers, herbs, veggies, and fruit - a little bit of everything and you are a prolific gardener, anything will grow for you! If you don't have a yard, you'll manage to create your own little Eden on your deck or patio or even your balcony.

The focal point of this oasis should be an asymmetrical pond that has curved paths leading to it.
Curved benches placed in shady spots are welcome additions, you relish the idea of spending time lying on a deckchair, caressed by a sweet ray of sun or protected by a nice shade, should the light be too strong. For this garden you will choose furniture in wrought iron or distressed wood and one element would have to be a table large enough to use for a family meal.

You are ruled by the Moon, so all nightblooming flowers are also akin to you. Evening primrose, moonflowers, evening stock, and night-blooming cereus fill the Cancer twilight garden with intoxicating scents and mystical magic, a deep appreciation for white flowers, lilies, Queen Anne’s lace, honeysuckle, hydrangeas, larkspur, water lilies, white poppy, geraniums, white rose and all water plant.

The vegetable patch good for planting any type of legumes (beans, peas, etc.), sweet potatoes, fruit and flowers. Hostas and other leafy summer plants, and silver-tipped birch, spruce and juniper are perfect for winter. Trees with high sap content, hickories, limes, maples, apples and walnuts are perfect for this garden.

Oh darius hope you are better, good to see you around.

I do appreciate your opinion and I am glad you agree, Up to now I have included the flowers, trees, herbs plant connected to the different signs, what kind of flowers to send and etc, etc
I believe there is so much more to astrology than just money and love, both of them important but to me perhaps a bit over rated!

Fruit day
Sign Leo
Moon Last quarter

Biodynamic:
Moon in Leo: Fire sign. Sow Fruit plants, where climate allows it: Peas, …
Do not sow Leaf plants: Cabbages, Lettuce.

Synodic:
Garden maintenance, weeding, cultivation and harvest. Do not sow anything, check or build a new compost heap.

The Moon Sign of Leo
5th Sign, Leo, The Heart (Horoscope: 23 July to 22 August)

For a Leo born gardener:
Your royal influence means your gardens must be stately. Showy, extravagant, colorful and impressive - that's a garden worthy of regal Leo. Better still if it's chock-full of rare blooms in imaginative displays. You'll only be satisfied if the end result is something you're proud enough to submit for the cover of a Garden Magazine.

The ideal Leo garden faces south, so it will be filled with the life-giving rays of the Sun.
Jerusalem artichokes, black-eyed Susan's, nasturtium and sunflowers adorn your gardens and are quite easy for you to grow. Plants with red accents, like leaves or berries, also suit you. Massive and extensive displays of orange gaillardia, poppies, marigolds, and/or zinnias grace your front walkways and patio beds. Good herbs and spices to include here are saffron, borage, and ginger, as these are all beneficial to the heart and circulation. Breathtaking flowers, and the most sumptuous trees, citrus ones are best – limes, lemons, and oranges. If your climate can’t sustain these varieties, try bay and laurel trees. Of course, a generous sprinkling of catnip belongs in every Lion’s den... In your mind, that's a garden. You take great pride in your surroundings and desire to have the best in the neighborhood.

A fire or outdoor stove is the perfect addition to this sign’s garden. If that’s not possible, try surrounding the seating area with tiki torches or strings of Fire Spit or fairy lights.

If you'd have money, you'd choose something like the gardens of Versailles, with wide alleys, flowerbeds of red and pink roses, and French-style groves.... Well Leo, you cannot do that, but … your garden still is the most beautiful in the street!

Root day
Sign Virgo
Moon Waining crescent

Biodynamic:
Moon in Virgo: Earth sign. Sow Root plants, where climate allows it: Radish, Spring Onions
Do not sow Flower plants: Calabrese ...

Synodic:
Garden maintenance, weeding, cultivation and harvest. Do not sow anything, check or build a new compost heap.

The Moon Sign of Virgo
6th Sign, Virgo, The Bowels (Horoscope: 24 August to 23 September)

For a Virgo born gardener:
As an Earth sign, you have a natural aptitude for horticulture. The Virgo garden is tidy and structured. It should face west and include a well-trimmed lawn. Blue and yellow flowers with small blossoms reflect the Virgin’s appreciation for detail and concern for beauty. Buttercups, sanvatalia, violets, bluets, and chicory will provide this garden with plenty of visual interest, also Chrysanthemum, Aster, and Morning Glories are all attributed to Virgo, as is the Cherry tree.

This sign is a big believer in herbal remedies. Herbs selection for the Virgo garden are those that can be used in all aspects of life, from cooking (basil, oregano) to pain relief (ginger, sarsaparilla), from sleep aids or relaxants (Valerian root, chamomile) to disease fighters (Echinacea, garlic), others like witch hazel, ginseng, and fennel come in handy as remedies. Popular table vegetables such as carrots, squash, celery, lettuce will also thrive for you.

Trees yielding fruits to be dried, such as walnuts or hazelnuts and the Cherry tree. You should try beekeeping in conjunction with gardening.

Since Virgo is not particularly fond of getting hands dirty, gloves live on your hands for the entire growing season, otherwise frequent visits to the local garden nursery fulfills gardening needs as well as frequent visits from hired landscaper services.

A circular metal table surrounded by round-backed chairs will invite this sign to sit down and enjoy a civilized pot of tea with a few well-chosen friends.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Hi, Darius!

It is good to have you back! Today is the winter solstice and though I have started a few garden chores, I have not yet set up everything for winter sowing.

I do have my Square Foot Gardens that I can put a few things in...like a cold frame. I can cover them, if need be. My winter is not as bad as a New England winter. The snow has melted all but a few shady areas, and the ice is gone as well.

So what I have growing in those square beds are: several kinds of lettuce, broccoli, spinach, and carrots. In the ornamental beds are frilly pansies, foxgloves, hollyhocks, Shasta Daisies and campanula. I need to dig out any tenders and put them in the basement. So I had better hurry...the sun is going down. At least after the solstice, the days will be getting longer and spring will be on its way.

Happy Winter Solstice! ^_^

P.S. We hope you continue to do better, Darius!

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

Well evelyn, now you can start thinking in your growing season and if your snow have melted you may be able to start in few weeks your early seeds sowing inside.

Around here for the first time since I arrived to Temuco, we have a very hot weather. The Summer temperature used to reach the max. Summer temp. of 26°C (70°F) and the lowest at night of 9°C (48°F) and the hot season it just starting......

Today it was 30°C ( 86°F), it was 34°C (93°F) last Friday, nobody could say that the weather is not changing!

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

That is quite hot!

Not comfortable at all...thanks for converting the temps. I have a hard time figuring out the Celsius degrees.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Last summer, it was that hot here as well. It used to be about 75 degrees for most of the summer. Last year a lot of 90's...

Flower day
Sign Libra
Moon Waning crescent

Biodynamic:
Moon in Libra Air sign. Sow flower plants, where climate allows it.
Do not sow Root plants.

Synodic:
Garden maintenance, weeding, cultivation and harvest. Do not sow anything, check or build a new compost heap.

The Moon Sign of Libra
7th Sign, Libra, The Kidneys(Horoscope: 24 September to 23 October)

For a Libra born gardener:
Creating and maintaining balance, harmony and beauty - that's your job, and you do it very well during the growing season, planting and tending flowers of all kinds in your garden. Color is important to you: ranges from bright to subtle will be artfully placed throughout your porches, decks and patios. Hanging baskets with a profusion of blooms and pots with an array of different colors and shapes.

You have a knack for arranging a garden - from seeds, mind you - so that the heights, colors, and even the size and shape of the blooms are perfectly symmetrical. It's magical, and the final result is equally enchanting. Flowers that attract birds, butterflies, and bees are Libra favorites.
You always want to make a favorable impression. Elegant and colorful lilies as well as roses and tulips are great, but most important in your garden is balance. Include a mix of tall, medium and low plants. Hydrangeas, Asters, Daisies, Mint and any blue flowers are all attributed to Libra, as are the Ash, Poplar and Plum trees. Pansies and nasturtiums appear in your salads and rose beds. Even if you have an small patio garden will include roses, thyme, violets, pansies, hoping for an apricot or chestnut trees, bleeding hearts, strawberries, primroses and cowslips.

As with Virgo, Libra also is not particularly fond of getting hands dirty, you may have to do frequent visits to the local garden nursery as well as frequent visits from hired landscaper services.

Give this Air sign a wide open yard with a low fence to encourage interaction with neighbors and several inviting chairs for guests to lounge and converse but that can also be pulled up to the table for dinner.

A graceful statue or shiny gazing ball is the perfect final touch for this garden, as even-handed Libra is attracted to both natural and manmade beauty. And you will be very happy with the result of "YOUR" labour, a Libra enchanting garden!

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Quote from cristina :
Well evelyn, now you can start thinking in your growing season and if your snow have melted you may be able to start in few weeks your early seeds sowing inside.

Cristina ~ No, it is just the first snowfall, not the last...we get snow off and on from now until April, sometimes May....cool to cold weather in between, wind and rain also. Our winter has begun...

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

Oh dear! so is time to get on with the woollies, wrap up, hot chocolate and a good book.

Me, I admire you all! I do not know if I could enjoy that cold! I was so "cold" the first year in Temuco, that took a while to get use to...

The Moon Sign of Scorpio
8th Sign, Scorpio, The Loins (Horoscope: 24 October to 22 November)

For a Scorpio born gardener:
The Scorpio garden should face north, so it will be a still, shady oasis. As a lover of secrets, privacy is key for you, so a hidden garden is ideal, outdoor space with protective pergolas, high fences or a tree screen. Fond of mysterious curved paths with solitary lounging nooks and recesses, will best serve this sign’s secretive nature, and shadows do not annoy you at all. You feel like letting Mother Nature invade you, and the more spontaneously wild plants thrive, the more you are satisfied.

Planting seeds is terrific, but your all-time favorite are bulbs. Successive plantings of vegetables like turnips, snap peas, lettuce, radishes and any other fall or winter vegetable grace the gardens. Being the strongest member of the zodiac, Scorpio is attracted to vigorous plants such as Swiss chard which re-grows when cut. The color red is a favorite, Tomatoes but Eggplants appeal for their color purple and any other vegetable with bright or deep colors. Gardens in your care are very fertile too and you can have extra produce to sell or offer to friends.

Fruit trees, such as Apple or Cherry with their beautiful blooms and deep color produce, Chestnut and Pear tree create great pleasure.

Your plants tend to be hardy survivors, weathering freezes and droughts well. Should try Bonsai gardening. The twisted and mysterious dwarf trees harmonize with Scorpio. Clinging vines and trailing plants with long tendrils also appeal to this sign, of course there are also herbs in this garden. You may be tempted to astonish your entourage by planting Mandrakes, which are believed to possess mysterious properties. Indeed, one guesses that beneath the gardener, there is an alchemist.

Of course, a water feature like a bird bath or fountain is always favored for this sign’s garden.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Well, Cristina, are you ready for the new year? Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

evelyn , Si, si, si Feliz Año Nuevo!

Happy New Year to you too and for all (every one) of your Family

I hope that we could continue to live in more or less, a Happy World, enjoying good health and with great energy to continue enjoying our gardens. I feel we are living in very changing times and many events could happen at any times. Let's hope that those events will always be good!

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Cristina ~ Whether they are good or not, I just hope we can continue to enjoy our life and our gardens...well, family as well. As long as we are not swayed by what is being fed to us by the media, we should be OK...well maybe. We will have to "cross that bridge when we get to it"!

Take care,

Evelyn
