all my EE's, have been dug washed and brought in now
for a month.. they did better than i thought..i wasnt the most
attentive at fertilizing them.. my bad..
i think it was brian williams that gave suggestion here of using
a "mulch" to store your EE's in cold areas where they have to be
dug..
i do my version of that..i collect TONS of leaves every yr..composting,
dig into the flower/vegy gardens..
so i fine shred the leaves.. just slightly moisten them..and use cheap
dollar store big plastic buckets .. fill the buckets..and bury the EE's in
the leaves..
i keep them in sort of dark basement room..stays around 55F..
i did this 2 yrs ago..with great success.. didnt get to it last yr.. :( and payed
in loss of some wonderful bulbs.. :(
not to happen this yr !!!!
anyone else have a set up you use????
overwintering EE's
ive been potting up my EE's lately.. some i overwintered in shredded leaves..have
started to shoot up leaves..YEA !!
been weeding..getting beds ready for planting.. still easy a month away..but..
how time creeps up on ya..
I lost everyone of my collection!!! Harsh winter here so I don't think I will invest this year.

belle.. oh wow.. :( thats lousy..
u all on east coast..and south..have had a tough winter for sure..
?? do u leave them outside during winter???
They were all dug up but our 2 car garage is full so DH said i can not put more plants because my plumerias and some bananas are all there.
I bought the 7 extra large ee , kind of pricey $20.00 each.
I also went to an Asian market and bought 5 varieties of edible EE. I am not going to buy all the other s I used to have.
Such is life!!!! Can't win them all LOL!!!!
