Thank you again, Cristina, for all of your hard work and dedication to this forum.

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

Evelyn, thanks!
I am happy to do it , it has been good for me to go into some of my old books and review some things that I had forgotten.

It is funny, but through the years I have forgotten some flowers and I have to find the English translation to some old ones which I did not put in the thread and I may add them when I finish with all the diverse areas that I know where the constellations influence our life and I do want to share.

Make the thread a bit more interesting I feel.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

You can always use the Latin names, if you don't know the English names. Many of those have changed, though....at least a rose is still a ROSE!! ^_^ LOL!!

Cristina ~ Wow, November is almost gone and the new year is just around the corner. I am sure that December will whiz right by. 2013 happened so fast, like I blinked my eyes!

Any plans for the up coming new year?

Evelyn ^_^

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

evelyn how are you?

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? I am sure you did.

I am running late with the thread, today, I mean right now I am starting with December, and yes I have a big plan, to return home, I hope so!

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Oh, that's wonderful news!! I hope that it is possible.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Today I planted those eremurus that I told you that I potted up. I was not sure if they had any life in them as they were so limp, but all but one looked good, with new growth on the roots. Also a dozen snapdragon 'rockets'.

I can't believe that we have not had any snow yet, as last year our first snow came on Nov 10th. Different year, different weather.

Thanks for sticking with these postings as I know you don't always have the spare time to do them. Now, I have to get my seeds and labels ready for 2 seed exchanges. YIKES!!

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

I used to do lots of exchanges until it was stopped by customs....

What can you do?.

Accept things as they happens!
Cristina

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

From Australia or Chile?

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

From Chile.
I re-enter Chile early 2000 to take care of mum. I join Garden Web at the end of that year and we did trading galore, there were no restriction with custom in Chile or the USA, Dave was also a member and I did trade with him, Dave did travel to Chile previously and he wanted some native plants, in Chile there are many variety of native flora. so we trade. He started Dave Garden in Sep. 2000, he invited me to join and I did in 2001.

The custom started to become "unfriendly" in Chile by around nov. 2003 and USA became very strict by Sep. October 2004. At that time Trading Finish...

Dave has been super for me, it is an enjoyable time not only for mental health to have a break from the tension of taking care of mum but also to continue using the English language. I was born in Chile but I embrace Australia as my country and I have missed Oz too much.
cristina.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Now that Dave has sold this website to a corporation, he has started 2 new ones. Have you been there yet?

http://cubits.org

I am sure he would be glad to see you join there, and you can say "Hello!" to him.
