Hello all!
I have a yellow corydalis which I can not identify. I'm sure it's not Lutea, nor Favula. I have Lutea, and the leaf structure and color are different. This form has a somewhat 'stiffer' look to the 'fronds', and they are distinctly grey-green, sometimes with a bronze blush at the tips. It is larger than Lutea, at probably 15" tall and 2-3' wide. It does not go dormant, in fact, I could not believe it, but it actually stayed 'evergreen' (or in this case ever-grey-green) ALL of last winter, here in zone 5. It is planted along the south side foundation of my house, and is shaded only in the morning, until about 10 (for a guess) in the summer - so basically full sun. The bed it is in has excellent, humus rich soil (basically compost), and does get some extra water, though it is not actually irrigated.
I've included a photo - there are 2 side by side in the upper left corner of this photo. Any suggestions on a variety?
Thanks so much!
Jen
Corydalis ID, anyone?
Looks like Corydalis cheilanthifolia.
AltaGardener,
THANK YOU!!! Yes, that does appear to be it!
