How to transplant the Red Spider Lily?

SW, AR(Zone 8a)

Please and thank you, I say.

Red spider lilies presently are in bloom here. To me, they are as enchanting as they are beautiful. We desire to move some from our distant meadow to our yard. I would like some firsthand directions on how successfully get this done.

I've moved Lycoris radiata at all times of the year.. they always come back. I have yet to kill one (aside from the accidental spade cutting the bulb in half) by moving it. Last ones to be transplanted were done in late August and by late October they were already sending up green straps!

That being said, I've never moved them during bloom period. Always lift from underneath so roots stay as intact as possible. And plant the top of the bulb 2 inches below soil. Works for me anyhow, and they have been multiplying so I guess my method is okay. Lol! :D
