Memory Garden Notifications

What's the current method of notifying the membership when someone transitions from this garden to the next?

Is there a way a tasteful banner could be added to the home page as soon as the Admins become aware of a transition, so the rest of the membership will know in a timely manner?

I'd say that would be a good idea. Just because we don't know who those that have passed on are doesn't mean we wouldn't go read the Memory Garden thread and add our condolences. If it was on the home page we would know about it.

I agree with Gymgirl and Anna_Z. I keep birthdays at the top of my home
page and would definitely like to be able to add Transitions too. Too often
we only hear of transitions from posts by other members.

How can I get birthdays at the top of the home page? I don't see them at all, even when scrolling down.

I did it a long ago but my trail of now stale bread crumbs looks like this:

Click on My Info at top of page, then proceed to:

Manage Your Preferences
Preferences: Custom Menu
Custom Home Page

Terry may have a faster way to do this.
