There was an article on this a few weeks ago.
Has anyone in Canada grown it?
Where did you get it?
Or is there a source for seeds?
Also called Heptacodium jasminiodes.
Heptacodium miconioides Seven Sons plant Autumn lilac

This place is on Vancouver Island :) :)
I've never ordered from them. Very nice shrub/tree from pictures, though.
Thank you for the site.
Seeds are good!
Vancouver Island is good--I have two sons out there!

Heck, there are some things on that site I want. Look at their weigela - it has yellow flowers!!
Yes, many interesting things there.
I'll order seeds----too late for plants here!
I have a large Heptacodium infront of the porch. I need to hack it back shortly and will be doing cuttings. Cuttings are quite easy.
That is good to know.
I did the cuttings a moment ago and other than fighting the fake spider webs from last night and finding a few whitefly, there were quite a few tip cuttings I did. The pic shows the Heptacodium on the left and Hydrangea quercifolia on the right. I had thought of propagating a few Heptacodium for ebay as this plant seems quite hardy in a number of ways. I sawed it hard in the spring and it bounced back. It doesn't do well in nurseries because not too many know about it and it is a late summer performer. That's one reason I like it so much. Even the hummingbirds go after it. If you want a rooted cutting, just hit me back in a few months.
Sounds like a good plant.
I'll try seeds and keep you in mind.
The seeds sprouted after a chilling in the 'frig.???
Now ???
