Dormant Lavender

I have a wonderful Lavender plant, Lavendula angustifolia 'Lady', in a pot outside.

Has anyone had any experience moving the Lavender inside (unheated basement with lights) and letting it go dormant? When I have brought Lavender inside in the heated area, in the past, it gets real crispy. I have had it in a south patio door. I guess it gets too hot.

I have brought Rosemary into my garage with success but it doesn't get much light and sure looks pitiful by Spring.
