Now into the second week of October and our "John Paul II" has produced its first blooms of 2013.
I dont think I see much about this particular variety in our forum.
I would love to know how your JP does in your garden.
JP II...finally
Sorry, I don't have that one!
John Paul II took a while to flower in my garden. I had originally planted him from a gallon sized pot and I think it took 3 years for him to finally flower. Now that he flowers, he is getting bigger and bigger and actually he is outgrowing where I have him. I was thinking of putting up some type of trellising so he could grow up the side of my shed - just haven't gotten to it yet.
Mine typically flowers in the Spring, but because he is a pruning group 2, I am not surprised you are getting flowers now.
