Hi all, we have installed a Regency U39 gas stove sitting on a hearth pad that protrudes 18" in front of the stove. We are finding that the wood floor in front of the stove and pad is getting rather warm (~95-100F) in a short time. We are anticipating severe drying and checking of the wood at these temps.
My questions are...
1. Is there any kind of free standing heat deflector that would only be about 12" high and maybe 30" wide that we could put in front of the stove to deflect the heat up and away from the floor?
2. Has anyone had to deal with this sort of issue in another way?
Thanks for your time. Cheers
