Double Purple Datura

Mifflintown, PA(Zone 6a)

This is the first one that I have ever grown. Hard time getting it to germinate. Seed from Seeds & More.
I think I didn't use enough of bottom heat. I had no idea they would get so huge!

Good golly! I live in Texas and haven't seen any that tall. I grew them when I lived in Austin but am living a couple hours north of there in Dallas and haven't tried 'em here. But what the heck do you mean by 'bottom heat' or do I even want to know?

Sorry ,I missed your post ,when I was trying tostart the seed, I didn't use any heat mat.

I don't know what a heat mat is. Maybe b/c I leave in a hot climate. If you were my older brother you would tell me, "Google it." And I'd slap my forehead and say "Duh!"

Well--Hello from where the "Orioles" really live and play...
That is out Baseball team here in baltimore--The "ORIOLES"!!!
They just won really BIG!

Anyway--I have grown Daturas a lot in the past and have a zillion seeds--
as one pod has about 200+ seeds in it.

They are slow to germinate--be patient and start them earlier than other seeds.

BTW--your triple purple/white Datura is called "Black Currant Swirl"
