I made a couple of batchs of plum jelly and with one, I didn't know that the pectin was outdated until after it was all done. I looked at the box after the jelly had cooled and it was still watery. The pectin had been outdated for about a year. Can I still open the jars and put some fresh pectin into it after three weeks? I was just going to use the watery jelly on ice cream, but I'd rather just have jelly for toast. Can anyone give me some advise?
