Sheets, bed pillows, good brands?

I really need to get new sheets, pillows, all that non fun stuff. I usually just grab something at Target, or some discount/ overstock type store, which are seconds sometimes. Or Bed bath beyond .

I like the sturdy ones at Hampton Inn- you can buy Hilton bedding but a sheet set Queen is 175$- still - they last for years...

Any recommendations out there? Bite the bbullet and just spend some money? Do you buy new pillows frequently and just trash them after a year or two?
