I was recently diagnosed with Osteoporosis and the doctor immediately recommended Reclast infusions. I declined as I am a cancer survivor and have heard that the jaw necrosis is more likely in cancer patients. I have read so much about side effects of other meds that I am about ready to just drink more milk and forget about the diagnosis. Mine is in my hip so many of the meds are more for the back and not likely to prevent hip injury that I just don't know what to take.
I have found something called Actonel which can be taken monthly? Good for preventing hip fracture and may give it a whirl?
Any thoughts appreciated,
Candee
