Gooseberries are ripe but not juicy - can I make Jam?

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

My gooseberries had some kind of insect that ate all the leaves and left the berries. The berries look ripe but aren't juicy. Can I still make jam with them or should I toss them?
