I have a wood insert in my living room (14x20 feet) it is an older house, there are doorways to other rooms but the living room does not open up to the other rooms so it is a challenge to get the heat to move into other parts of the house. Cutting vents is one option (my wife is not in favor says it will mess with character of house) the other option is a ceiling fan.
I am wondering if anyone else uses a ceiling fan with success in moving heat?
