Does the Papua lava threaten other plants and shrubs in the garden? I have a 80 yr old black walnut I had trimmed recently that grew back into a lush thick handsome display. I was very happy until last week when many of the walnuts started dropping and to my surprise discovered the husk fly had invaded. I'm losing about 50 a day. I'm not to worried but am concerned if the lava is a threat to invade my other plants (xylosimas and red hot pokers) I have planted as a hedge in the same back yard?
