i know that my spearmint dies back in winter and comes back in the spring. this is the first year that i have ever had a variety. do i need to bring inside these others, apple, peppermint, chocolate, ginger etc or will they winter over like the spearmint??????
are mints periennals
they should all be okay, they have huge amounts of underground roots so will come back no bother.
JCF I am in zone 6 and they die down here in the winter and come back just fine in the spring. I have lost a few that I put out late in the fall that where just cuttings and didn't have a chance to get started good but most do just fine.
Yeap just like a bad weed.
No, no Mike, they are a good weed. Pam
catlady you are right. they are defintely a good weed. Thanks all of you for the info.
I got some lemon mint seeds in a trade, and I thought I read somewhere that that particular one was an annual? Am I wrong? I hope so.
