Advice about overwintering endless summer zone 5

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I have two of the endless summer hydrangeas in very large pots. I would love to continue them in there for next year. Would they survive potted in a zone 5 winter? Should I move them to a sheltered area near the porch? Or should I forget that and just plant them?

Yes, as long as you bring the pots into the garage or a shed and periodically (say, every 2 weeks) water them. I normally do not plant hydrangeas this late in the growing season (too hot over here); if you want to wait until Spring to plant in the ground, that would be fine.
