Datura metel…fastuosa?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Datura newbie here. This (pic.1) was given by a friend that wasn't sure which one it was. From reading the sticky here, I believe it is the D. metel var. fastuosa.
But my question is…Do Datura seem to be susceptible to leaf miners, or is it just mine that seem to be having this problem? I'm seeing it on both my D. metel, and my D. inoxia. At least I think it's D. inoxia.
Maybe you can also verify that they are, in fact, what I believe them to be.

Thanks for looking… :-)

I believe that Datura variety is known as "Black Currant Swirl".

Leaf miners are a fact of garden life. It wouldn't be only yours. Whatever kind of leafminer you have has to be a species that accepts datura as a host and if you google it, you'll find a couple of other posts.
Here I found a reference that some datura will host the spinach leaf miner.
