The Garden Conservancy's Open Days Program

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

I'd like everyone on DG to at least know about the nationwide Open Days Program put on by the non-profit Garden Conservancy. Each year a catalogue is published of places where people open their home gardens to public view. Usually 5 or 6 in the vicinity of a city. They don't have to be estates by any means. Lots of modest gardens are in the list.

When I was viewing some albums in the Garden Showcase it felt like I was on an Open Days tour.

I'm hoping more folks will get involved and organize their areas for next summer, or just volunteer to open their own gardens.

If you're at all interested, please go to www.OpenDaysProgram.org.

I wish there were a way to share this info with all Dave's Garden members. But multiple postings are frowned upon. Perennials seemed the most popular of the forums that have a very broad focus.

Spread the word!
