AUGUST BLOOMS
Very nice Mike!!! Wow you sure have a lot of grapes.
I don't have as many blooming now probably about 30. They have bloomed out very fast and I don't know why because they started late. I think a lot of bud counts were down despite all the rain we had. Others had high bud counts. I do have 3 reblooming though and hope for more rebloom.
Cindy it is still early for rebloom. Give them a little boost with some food.
Mike I wonder if that WINEBERRY CANDY is my NOID called BOB??
Linda
Linda, I looked at BOB and I would have to say no. The form is clearly different.
Hazel, I'm surprised to see of your blooms, since we are not that much warmer and my Strawberry Candy had its last bloom in July and Red Suspenders has been done for over a week. My Monster is just about done blooming and have even some of my Curt Hanson blooms are almost over. Clear Mountain Morning is exceptional! I have been pleased with The Dream Society which was a 2012 introduction that I planted last fall.
Hemlady, Great Blooms! You have great spiders. Pink and purple spiders are my favorite daylilies.
Mike, Great Blooms! I just planted Buddy Hudson this summer. Hope it looks as nice as yours next year. It was a bonus plant from Maryott's.
Cam223, Nice blooms!
My camera went dead this morning after first picture so I only have one pic today. It's Christopher Moody.
Thanks!!!
Taylor, nice bloom. My camera batteries are always running out, so I know what a pain that can be.
Thanks! It happens to me a lot. My camera uses a rechargeable battery so your not able to just change it out. I need to buy a back up battery.
Here are a few blooms from today.
Pic 1 is Dainty Eyes Rebloom has 3 seed pods didn't think I would get a rebloom
Pic 2 Lilting Belle
Pic 3 Frans Hall thought this one had great coloring
Pic 4 cut leaf coneflower it's about 6' tall
Pic 5 Cherry Wine
How do you like your Wonder of Wonders? I really love mine and am so glad I got it. Mine is more lavender in color.
Linda
I didn't like it until this year. It was short, about 20" which I don't like. Then came all the rain this spring and suddently the plant grew like crazy and the scape ended up being about 28" which I am very happy with. It took about 3 years to finally settle in.
Hemlady, Suzy Cream Cheese is a nice one. Techny Peach Lace is another favorite. Love the colors!
Very nice Mike!!! Like them all!!!
Thanks Cindy. Is your Northern Rose still blooming?
No my Northern Rose didn't bloom very long. Wish that it did, I really liked it. I only have about 10 left that are still blooming. 2 of those are on rebloom. I have a very late one, Ruffled Strawberry Parfait, that has a scape but will be at least another week for bloom.
My Genesta look like it will be a couple weeks before it blooms. Spacecoast Eye For Passion that I got this year also have a scape coming up.
Mike, Great Blooms and cute squirrel. Did you get to eat some of your grapes?
Taylordaylily, the grapes are not ready yet. I am contemplating putting a temp chicken wire enclosure to protect them until I come up with something permanent. Any suggestion ? Anyone!!
