Chokeberry Aronia melanocarpa

Orchard Park, NY(Zone 5a)

I understand these berries are edible and high in antioxidants but also very, very tart. Does anyone have recipes on how to best prepare them? So far I have found references to ways they can be used (jams, pastry, breads, etc.) but no specific recipes. I don't have large quantities as it is a newly-planted small tree. Thanks.
