The Many Uses of Kitchen Items

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

So many fun and handy kitchen items, so little time to count the ways they improve our lives every day.

Plastic Wrap - Perfect for sticking ONLY to itself -- and ONLY when you don't want it to.

Aluminum Foil - When aligning 2 edges together to fold them over, this wonderful substance is second to none in cutting painful slices in finger tips.

Tupperware and other similar containers - Serves well when you need a dishless lid to use as a plant drip pan.

Metal serving spoon (found in cutlery sets) - Excellent for sliding down the side of the inside of the pot, to become completely submerged in the simmering sauce you are stirring.

Wire cooling racks - The devices to which your cookies will permanently get stuck if you leave them cooling for too long.

Hand-held can opener - Perfect for shaving those thread-like slivers of metal from your canned goods.

Tongs - Excellent for reaching things up on a tall shelf, and then losing their grip JUST as the heavy item is poised directly above your bare toes.

Pot Holders - Those handy-dandy items whose thread-bare spots you don't notice until after you've just pulled the 10-pound roasted chicken from the oven.

Did I miss anything? Please share your experiences with your favourite kitchen toys that you just can't hurt yourself live without! =)
