My open terrarium has Mealybugs. I wasn't sure at first because all the pictures you find shows them all furry or with long protrusions all over, but I was finally able to find a few pictures of Mealybugs that were just plain white tiny domes (the size of a grain of rice). They are slow crawling and only move once I knock them off the plants. There are also some translucent blueish/grey airborn bugs- I believe they are the males. I have ripped out the plant that was most effected by them, but there are still a few on my Jade plant, as well as all over the soil (now that they've been dislodged from their host). I don't want to throw the rest of the terrarium away- I put a lot of design into it. HELP ME.
WHITE MEALYBUGS! HELP!
you get them taken care of? what worked?
Try a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. Target the bugs, then rinse off the plants. I know this is tricky in a terrarium, but it will work.
:(
