A question about seeds ?

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

I have some Japanese plum seeds .. A few giant reds , my question is ; will they store properly ..
I have read and they will not (the seeds)
While they won't grow true ( mine are grafted ) and they are not hardy here most of the time (the one from the seeds ) This I am aware of .
Lot of work if they won't keep ... well time anyway .... any advice is well appreciated ,. thank you in advance ...

I would say most people do not grow plums from seed unless they are the wild varieties. You would need a decent rootstock variety to graft your tree upon. This would likely be based on your area and soil conditions. Just my thoughts though.

Thank you , all input is appreciated !!! That is what this is most about , finding a good northern rootstock .
My thought is toward the wild black cherry tree for a rootstock ..Only wondering , looking for ideas ...

Wondering about how the seeds might keep though ,I am ..
