sending a video

I wanted to send 2 short videos via email. Less than a minute each, probably 30 seconds is a close approximation without going back to watch them. I attached them to the email and when I clicked "send" it said "not enough memory". I don't understand......could someone explain in simple terms. Obviously I have enough memory, or I couldn't have saved them in a folder in my pictures heading.
