I have 2 largish beds of columbine in the woods, one red Canadensis, and the other a mix of blues, probably some hybrids, but not all. I have 3 Yellow Queen in my perennial garden, 3 dark purple in another bed, and some mixed colors along a stream. The ones in the bed usually bloom in late may through late june. The yellows in the perennial garden a little later. But this year, in spite of healthy, bug free plants, there are NO BUDS on the two woodland beds, and the yellow ones had only 3 flowers among them.
What gives????
