Hello,
I live in Indialantic, Fl, zone 9. I am looking for a bright beautiful bush that grows up to 10 ft tall 10 ft wide and smells wonderful. Full sun area and I live on a barrier island so it has sandy soil. Would really dark purple, oranges/reds.

It is not going to give you bright colors....instead big shiny green leaves and beautiful white flowers but very fragrant ......Tahitian Gardenia/Tiare. Loves sandy soil as long as it gets plenty of water.
Night blooming jasmine, regular gardenia, stephanotis. Go down to Davie to Jessie Durko's nursery--he'll fix you right up with all sorts of fragrant plants.
