Clean a light yellow fabric sofa?

My sofa, upholstered 8-10 yrs ago, carefully used, (children grown) needs cleaning. Expensive fabric. probably cotton blend.

Over the week end I noticed where my husbands dog, (not our dog mind you), has brushed up against the sides and brown line around the backside and sides! I am not going to panic until I know I cannot get it cleaned thoroughly.

Free advice? Professional cleaner or do it yourself job?
