Who is growing Red porterweed, the lower growing one?

I have bought a small pot of the Red Porter weed that is called Stachytarpheta cayennensis

and want to know how tall it will get each year and wide so I can place it in a the right spot
in the flower garden?
It will die down here in winter and I plan to straw the base of it and hope it comes back
in March or April as a perennial..lower zone 8.
