Bayer 'Seresto'???? and Heartworm preventive Injection??

Has any one used the Flea/tick collars Bayer 'Seresto'? Or the heartworm preventive Injections
The Seresto is said to last 8 months and the injections 6 months.

My Belgian Tervuren will not eat the pills and it is a battle royal to get them down him. Which is strange as he is good when I give him other pills.

I have read that you need to cut away the fur so the collar will be next to the skin for Seresto.

I have read some bad reviews for the injections but not the good reviews so am still up in the air about this one
