These irises came from a packet marked Iris milesii but they are not 'red' or 'pink' but purple or white.
I posted a pic on the PlantID forum but the responses were inconclusive.
Can anyone here give a definite ID?
The one is a blow-up of the other.
Sorry have no more pics as the flowers have now faded.
I checked Wikipedia and they do look similar.
I was looking at pictures of other Irises that I grew from seed that year.
Could it be Iris douglasiana?
Hi, I'm new to this forum and a mad Iris grower. Mine are all Tall Bearded. Our season will start in September and I really look forward to seeing the blooms starting to open. I have one little guy who doesn't seem to know when to bloom. Three of that variety have bloomed during Winter, which is crazy. It's one that I inherited from someone else's garden. Here is a photo. I hope to post more pics later on in the year.
