This was found on the bottom of cox comb that I purchased at a nursery yesterday ( I will not be going back) What is it? Are they huge mites? I disposed all that I could find, but now I am worried for my other flowers. Thank you so much for responses.
What in the world are these? Bugs?
I have a couple of guesses
1) If these things do not move: Parasitized aphids. The wasp lays eggs on the aphid. The wasp larvae eat the aphid from the inside, killing it. It also swells up and turns tan.
2) If these things do not move: Scale???
3) If these things do move: Some kind of beetle. Looking really close at some of the bugs in your photos seems to show a body, thorax & head arrangement that is common of many beetles.
EEEW they are gross. Thank you for the response. I removed all leaves otherwise I'd see if they move. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that no more pops up.
