succulent problem

Vacaville, CA

Hello
I live in Northern California and one of my favorite succulents has started dropping it leaves all at once, all of a sudden almost all gone!
I am sticking the leaves that drop back into the soil so hopefully they will take root.
But help!! I want to try to save the whole plant
I am attaching a photo anyone have any insight?
Thank you

Sounds like way too much water - and from your pictures it appears you have them growing in a potting mix that holds moisture .. you want something that drains very fast and does not hold a lot of moisture.

Ok thank you.
I repotted it today in a better mix in a different smaller pot.
Hopefully it will come back
Thank you

I enjoy succulents as well. Agree with Xeramtheum, water near roots all the time aren't succulent friendly. I add sprinkles of sand now and then to keep the water running through the soil. I do occasionally lose one, but using the fallen leaves to start a new one is always rewarding. Happy succulent gardening!
I was unsuccessful in opening the photo. Sharing from my pots of succulents--nice variety.

Neither link opened for me.

Have you tried growing them in a packaged cactus mix?

Cactus mix is fine
