gesneriad seed germination using GA-3

Brookfield, CT

Has anyone tried using gibberillic acid-3 to help germinate seeds of any gesneriad? I am going to try various concentrations on seeds that I collected from my own plants over several years. They have been stored in a cool, dry location, but I suspect they need a little something extra to break dormancy. I also have seeds of Raymonda myconi that I got from the Gesneriad Society. These seeds are a bit old and they need to be cold stratified. DH and kids get annoyed with me when I keep "bags of dirt" (their description" in the refrigerator. I will share the results here.

I haven't tried it,but would love to hear the results.
