Caladiums in Minnesota...When to plant out?

Buffalo, MN(Zone 4a)

Just curious-when should I plant my Caladiums outside in their containers? Usually I start them indoors on a heat mat under lights but got a late start this year. It's still been cool at night. The instructions that cam with my bulbs (from Bill) say after temps are >65 degrees, but I'm wndering if I can push that a little bit?
Thanks!

You can put them out during the day, but if the temps fall below 60 degrees, I'd give them some protection. We don't have much room, so they have spent nights and sometimes days in the car. My caladium plants have certainly put on a lot of mileage.

Thanks, Marcia! Love the car idea :)

Deb, I hope by now your nights are warmer. They should be starting to sprout very soon if they haven't already. I still have a few more to pot up, but in general I'm getting sprouts and even some foliage growth.

And they are outdoors 24/7.

Deb, how are your caladiums doing? Don't forget to post some photos.

Deb, you are not quite as warm as we are, but I see you are in the 80s. The caladiums ought to be taking off by now.
