Ferny Corydalis and ants

I was trying to collect seeds today from my Ferny Corydalis ( lovely plant by the way). I put a white bowl under a bunch of stems and shook to try to have seeds fall into the bowl. Seeds fell in, as well as six or eight tiny ants. I watched the ants hoping they would crawl up to the edge of the bowl where I could send them flying. But noticed, each tiny ant was carrying one if the tiny black seeds. Wow. Who knew?
Now I wonder if the ants have something to do with this plant NOT self sowing freely here, as it does for some others.
Just an observation for your possible interest.

That is interesting. I like detective work and read that the arils collected by the ants help to disperse the seeds of this plant. I don't know how this affects self-sowing or if it does.
