Quilt Showing in Tennessee

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

As promised, here are some of the photos from todays quilt show. It wasn't a show as I have usually seen. Rugby is an old(1880) English style village in the Cumberlands. The quilts were displayed in several of the homes and other buildings and were all in the private collections of the residents. Some were very old. The church is typical of the design of the village. It was a very pleasant day, they did have a van service but the entire village was small and easy to walk. There were several vendors in the first building and several of the buildings had in addition to the displayed quilts, local art and craft items. Also a nice little cafe where we had a very good lunch. The quilts weren't always hung to their best advantage, in the church they were draped over the pews, sometimes over a bed or a couch. #4 was the back of #5, I'm trying to show the quilting which was very intricate.
