Bad News For Coffee

The vet came to the barn to pull cogs and we got him to do some blood work on Coffee. We are at our wit's end trying to get weight on her. The news is not good. She has permanent liver damage from the years of starvation we rescued her from. He said she will never gain weight. The only thing that might help her is to be turned out on pasture 24/7. It likely won't make a difference. We are trying to find a place for her. We have no pasture at all. We have trippled her hay and she is still a rack of bones. I know her stomach is full and she is not hungry but it still hurts to look at her. It is a sad situation.
