Powdery mildew on strawberry starts

Fort Worth, TX

I got 50 strawberry plants from Burgess which should have gone in the ground last Sunday, but I spent last week tending the goat and chickens and etc. Then the goat got sick Tuesday morning and work was busy all week, getting home after dark.

So today I finally get a day off and the plants are leafing out and alive, no leaf rot, but powdery green all over roots and leaves. I shook the first bunch off and planted about 20, as they are otherwise healthy. Going to have to pot the other 30, no choice, space isn't cleared and I have work early in the morning. Should I do anything about the mildew or just shake it off and plant. It literally doesn't seem to be bothering the plants.

Well the strawberry plants are mainly fine. I'll lose 2 or 3. But if you buy from Burgess KEEP the original mailing label ont he bag. That is the only way to handle a warranty issue. I will lose one of my clematis vines, and I threw out the bag with label, in the outdoor trash, which left 2 weeks ago... Ooopps
