Wayland, MA(Zone 6a)

I have a grossly pot bound agapanthus and I am going to repot . should I rip apart the roots,?
they are so tight I don't think I can "loosen" them

Use a big knife and slice down between the roots - they will be fine.

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

Just remember that when agapanthus are root bound
or pot bound,, it encourages
blooms.
