Do Bougainvillea Loopers and Cabbage Loopers have the same..

Del Mar, CA

tendencies? The reason I ask is because Bougainvillea Loopers and Cabbage Loopers seem to look the same and there are a ton of articles on how to kill Cabbage Loopers yet not a whole lot on Booger loopers...
Just curious...
Thanks!

Loopers? A science fiction movie?

Aha! Is that what was munching on my Bougi last summer? I've never seen any damage on a bougainvilla aside from freeze or rats stripping the bark, until this past summer. If it's a looper, I would think BT ( baccillus thuringiensis) should solve the problem. Just a guess.

Yup...they recommend Bt for the young larvae and Spinosad for both young and mature worms.

My new and all time favorite spray says it will take care of them.
