Hi, the plant needs a little attention (snip-snip) but this is all about the flowers.
The Pachypodium namaquanum is also in leaf, slow grower...
Fockea edulis blooms
I love those flowers. They look so much like my cynanchum marnierianum flowers.I have a fockea too but so far it hasn't bloomed for me. I am not sure if it is old enough yet or if I am not providing favorable conditions.
Now end of summer here, so look for new action around autumn in terms of blooms.
Very cool flowers. I think I need one of them!
Nice. How much of that Fockea is below ground? I just repotted a bunch of seedlings and they remain about 95% buried.
Not much , fairly shallow pot.
Depends on the size you are talking about, my big one is over 10 years.
You'll get a sense of how they're doing once you start repotting them. It's very hard to know what's going on below ground without taking them out to look. My advice to get good growth from young plants would be to overpot them (pot should be deeper than wide) and leave them buried. Once they are a good size you can lift them for display.
