I just purchased a Greenworks Twin Force 20" mower. I am passing my old 21" Bolens gas mower down to my son-in-law.
I haven't used it yet, but after assembly and testing, I have high hopes for it.
again, the following is based on research and first impressions;
pros;
no gasoline to go purchase.
no pulling a rope to start
no smell/hassle that goes with the gasoline engine.
lightweight (maybe 1/2 - 2/3 the weight of the mower it's replacing)
'probably' costs only a few cents to mow the lawn
quieter (like a loud-ish vacuum cleaner)
4 year warranty on mower, 2 years on battery packs.
cons ;
may 'only' have 60-70 minutes of run time on a charge (though, extra batteries can be swapped in anytime)
construction underneath 'may' lead to clogging with tall or wet grass
'may' discover it is underpowered
some concerns on-line about service/parts from Greenworks
battery life somewhat unknown.
