I bought a wooden log hideout for my pet reptiles tank, it's basically a bark cave. With all the humidity and artificial light the bark sprouted roots from below, but since there is no nutrient substrate the roots died for good.
If I buy another and get it to sprout roots and put it outside in spring in a pot with soil, will the roots grow and eventually the bark sprout new stems/leaves?
This is is the product, no idea what type of tree is used. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752734&lmdn=Product+Type&f=PAD%2FpsNotAvailInUS%2FNo
Here's a new one, reptile tank decor started growing roots!
Probably a willow.
