That's a great bloom, how long will that flower last on the plant, are all cactus flowers just 1 or 2 day events or do some types bloom longer. The only cactus we can realistically grow here are indoor plants. There is one small native cactus that grows on our farm here and there, but it rarely blooms.

Sounds like Opuntia fragilis.
Well, some cactus flowers last half a day to a full day only (most nightbloomers), but most last 2-4 days and few even up to one week. A bit depending on temperature.
