I found this on a dead branch in Scotland, was about 4 inches in size, is it an identifiable species?
Thanks

Fungus ID
My ID book lists two orange jelly fungi. The book says Dacrymyces palmatus fruits on conifers, while Tremella mesenterica fruits on hardwood. Do you know what type of twig your jelly is fruiting on?
I'm fairly sure it was hardwood - mostly beech/oak woodland where it was found, so likely the Tremella. It was a very striking sight, I spotted it about 20 yards away, it being such a bright orange colour.
Thanks
Dave
