I have been picking up needy furniture at auctions and such when no one else wants them. Much to my husband's consternation I am starting to accumulate projects...yikes! Anyway, I picked up this sad little table complete with swashbuckling pirate's chest ornamentation for a buck. All I knew was that it was very heavy for it's size and had "good bones". A LOT of elbow grease and a can of sparvarnish later and ....wow.....total overall cost...$3
I found the "twisty stick" and my husband installed it.
